Before you write — common questions

How do I pair with my partner?

Open Truce Tonight and use the in-app Connect partner flow. One of you generates a short code; the other enters it. Once you're paired, your swipes are matched in real time.

I'm not seeing any matches.

Matches only appear when you and your partner both swipe yes on the same title. Most couples start matching after 15–20 swipes each, so keep going for a few minutes. If you've narrowed your streaming services aggressively, try toggling a few more on in the app's settings.

How do I change which streaming services I have?

Open the in-app settings and look for the streaming-services section. Toggle on the ones you subscribe to — we use that to filter recommendations to things you can actually watch tonight.

How do I delete my account or my data?

Inside the app, head to Settings → Account and choose Delete account. Or just email us and we'll do it for you. Either way your profile, swipe history and pairing are removed within 30 days. For the full detail see our privacy policy.

I've found a bug. How do I report it?

Email us with as much detail as you can — your device (e.g. iPhone 15, Pixel 8), the OS version, your app version (Settings → About), and what you were doing when it happened. Screenshots or short screen recordings help us fix things faster.

I have a feature idea.

We love hearing those. Drop us an email with the idea and roughly how you'd use it. We can't promise to build everything but we read all of them.

Can I use Truce Tonight on my own?

Yes — you can browse and save titles without a partner. The matching magic only kicks in once two accounts are paired.
